MEET DNCE (3/4)

JINJOO LEE

JinJoo es la guitarrista de DNCE, además de hacer los coros.

HISTORIA
Nació el 15 de noviembre de 1992 en Korea del Sur aunque actualmente vive en Los Angeles.
Estudió y se graduó en el instituto "Georgia Institute of Technology" en un grado de ingeniería eléctrica.
Después acudió al "Guitar Program" antes de convertirse realmente en guitarrista.


PRIMEROS PASOS
En 2009 se convirtió en la guitarrista de Jordin Sparks, cantante que durante un tiempo fue telonera de los Jonas Brothers.
JinJoo también ha acompañado a artistas como Charli XCX, JoJo o Ciara.

¿CÓMO CONOCIÓ A JOE?
En 2009 mientras JinJoo tocaba para Jordin, fueron de gira con los Jonas y ahí fue dónde se conocieron ellos dos.
¡Y la amistad ha durado hasta hoy!

MEET DNCE (2/4)

COLE WHITTLE

Cole nació el 22 de febrero de 1982 en Estados Unidos.
Actualmente toca el bajo en DNCE como instrumento principal, también hace los coros y toca el kazoo.

HISTORIA:
Antes de empezar con esta nueva banda, formó parte de otras:
El primer grupo en el que estuvo se llamaba "Fish Nipple". 
A continuación, él tocaba el bajo en un grupo llamado "Semi Precious Weapons", que fue de gira con artistas como Lady Gaga y con Ke$ha.

INICIACIÓN A LA MÚSICA:
Asistió a la escuela "Berklee College of Music"y empezó a tocar el piano cuando tenía 6 años.

¿CÓMO CONOCIÓ A JOE?
Joe empezó a trabajar con el compositor Justin Tranter de Semi Precious Weapons para su nuevo disco y fue ahí cuando Joe y Cole se conocieron.

¡Hola!
Todos los días (o casi todos) escribo algo sobre DNCE...
¿Pero quiénes son DNCE?
Os puse una breve biografía cuando se formó el grupo pero en ningún momento os he dado demasiada información de sus componentes...
Así que en cuatro posts (entradas de este blog) os contaré algo más acerca de los miembros de DNCE.
Aquí os dejo el primero:


JOE JONAS
Joe es el cantante principal de DNCE.
Nació el 15 de agosto de 1989 en Arizona y tiene tres hermanos: Kevin (28), Nick (23) y Frankie (15).
Canta, toca la guitarra, piano, pandereta, etc.

En 2005 entró a formar parte del exitoso grupo "Jonas Brothers", compuesto por Kevin, Nick y él y disuelto en 2013.
Su primer disco lleva el nombre de Its about time y fue en 2007 cuando esta banda de hermanos empezó a bater records con sus discos Jonas Brothers, A little bit longer y Lines, Vines and Trying Times.
Además, participaron en las películas de Camp Rock junto a Demi Lovato, protagonizaron sus propias series en Disney Channel: J.O.N.A.S, Jonas LA y Jonas Brothers living the dream.
Participaron también en Disney Channel Games, DC Almost Live, Hannah Montana y cantaron en bandas sonoras de muchas películas Disney, etc.

En el año 2011, Joe se presentó como solista, con el album "FASTLIFE", con See no more como single principal, y recorrió el mundo haciendo numerosos conciertos y firmas para darse a conocer.
Durante ese tiempo, fue artista invitado en la gira de Britney Spears.

En 2010-2012 hizo una aparición en "Póquer de reinas" como "Will".

En septiembre de 2015 dio a conocer su nueva banda: DNCE, en la que forma parte actualmente.

DNCE estuvieron en Amsterdam el día 24 de abril y el recuerdo que se llevan es increíble.

El público se mostró muy entregado, sobre todo en canciones como Jinx, que hicieron que aquella fuese una noche inolvidable.

Al igual que muchos otros artistas, Nick y Demi acaban de anunciar la cancelación del concierto de su Honda Civic Tour en Carolina del Norte debido a su legislación. 

"Después de pensarlo y deliberarlo mucho, hemos decidido cancelar nuestra Honda Civic Tour: los conciertos de Future Now en Raleigh y en Charlotte"

"Nuestros objetivos en las giras han sido siempre crear una atmósfera donde todos se sientan iguales y aceptados por quienes son".

"La HB2 ley discriminatoria de Carolina del Norte es extremadamente decepcionante, y deja de lago muchos de los principales derechos y protecciones. Pero no nos hará detenernos, continuaremos luchando por la igualdad y el acepto".

As other artists, Nick and Demi have cancelled their shows in North Carolina due to its Anti-LGBT legislation.

Al parecer, alquilarla durante un fin de semana cuesta 10K dólares.

Joe Jonas actuará en un evento privado durante el primer fin de semana del festival Coachella que tendrá lugar esta semana, junto a su banda  DNCE.

Y... ¡eso no es todo!

Para aquellos que no lo sepáis, Joe Jonas fundó hace tiempo un restaurante llamado "Hinterland" en LA y ¡su comida se podrá disfrutar durante el festival!
